Confession Highlights; Walking in Power

Confessions and Walking in the

Power of Your High Priest by Dr. Creflo Dollar

Soooo, since I haven’t posted on my blog since late April (2020). It is quite evident that this darn COVID-19 pandemic has impacted my life in more ways than one. Between the coronavirus pandemic, racial pandemic and economic pandemic, ya girl has been disconnected. Have YOU been impacted by the recent pandemics? Tell me how. I’d love to hear from you and share your topics.

Anyway, until recently, I have not had the desire to blog, assist others with their resume revisions or even post a simple inspirational quote. Yikes

Well, on another day, I will definitely chat about what my life has been like since the beginning of the pandemics. For now, I had to share a POWERFUL MESSAGE (inspirational video) posted this morning by Dr. Creflo Dollar. His message was simple, yet so effective. I don’t even know that “effective” is the accurate word to describe how this 20-minute video of confessions blessed my soul. I feel like I’ve had an injection of inspiration or (in coffee terms- a cup of inspiration with two added shots of faith. I am feeling so blessed by Dr. Dollar’s video that I decided to transcribe 98% of what he said, so that you and I can print out the declarations, post them in our homes, and CONFESS them in the name of Jesus.

There is just soooooo much going on in our lives, homes, jobs, state, churches, and our nation all at once. Since April or the end of March, I found myself feeling overwhelmed, stressed, nervous, uncertain and losing sight of the promises God has designed for my daughters and I. Oooooh BUT GOD.

Listen to God’s word. Speak God’s Word. Declare God’s word in the midst of this pandemic.

Be encouraged! We will get through this TOGETHER!

Just Breathe!

For your convenience, below you will see the transcription of Dr. Dollar’s Godly Confessions. Print it or send me an email for the Word document at

PLEASE be sure to comment on this post or hit me up on social media @destinyinspiredconsulting to let me know how this blessed you and if having the transcription was helpful or nah.

Dr. Creflo Dollar, thank you for sharing these confessions. My mom has been listening to your Psalm 91 confessions daily and forwarding them to my sisters and I. (Thanks Mom

Honestly, today is the first day I listened to the entire video. I was inspired to share the wealth. May God continue to bless you, Taffy, and your family as you bless others. Whether it is Dr. Dollar or Maya Angelou, sometimes we need a cup of inspiration.

7/27/20    Highlights from Dr. Creflo Dollar

“Confessions and Walking in the Power of Your High Priest”

  • We are believing God that this is going to be a BREAKTHROUGH week
  • God will give you answers. Go to God for your answers. He will lead and guide you and show you what to do.

I declare that I will dwell in the shelter of the most high

I declare that I will find rest in the shadow of the almighty

I declare that God is my refuge and my fortress

I declare that you are my God in whom I trust with great confidence in whom I will rely

I declare that God will rescue me from every trap and protect me from every disease

I declare that I am covered and protected by his outstretched arms

I declare that God’s faithful promises are my armor and my protection

I declare that I will not be afraid of the terror of the night or the arrow that flies by day

I declare that I will not dread any disease that stalks in the darkness nor any disaster that strikes at midday

I declare that because God is my refuge, the almighty God of my home, no evil can befall me and no plague can come near my dwelling place

I declare God is sending his angels to protect me and my house

I declare that because of God’s love for me, he will deliver me from my fears. I will walk unharmed and kick anything that is evil from my path

I declare that he will reward me with long life and show me his salvation. He will honor me with his presence and his power.

In the name of Jesus. SAY THAT I AM PSALM 91 EQUIPPED!

We can walk in the power of our HIGH Priest. Jesus is our HIGH PRIEST. Power is the ability to get the job done and get results. You and I can walk in the power of Jesus, Our High Priest.

Hebrews 4:15 & 16

15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. 16 Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

Lord, I am so thankful you possess the greatest power in the whole earth. I am not serving a dead God. I am serving a living Lord who is interceding for me at the right hand of the father at this very moment. Jesus, I come to you as my great high priest and ask you today to fill me with your power 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. I want to know you and experience your power and experience your ways. In the name of Jesus.

I declare by faith that the greater one lives inside of me. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead lives inside of me and is at my disposal 24 hours a day. His power is continuously resident in my heart and is more than enough to face and overcome any obstacle that tries to come my way. I declare this by faith in Jesus.

In Jesus name by the authority of his holy word, I call my debts paid in full. Debt, I speak to you in Jesus name, be paid, be gone, be materialized and cease to exist. I now declare that all my debts, mortgages and notes are paid in full, cancelled, dissolved in Jesus name.

*Debts owed to you or Accounts Receivable*

(To collect monies owed to you)

Jesus said whatever I loose on earth is loosed in heaven, therefore, I loose the finances owed to me. I call this money in, so that these accounts are paid in Jesus name. Amen

Speak to those bills being paid ON TIME!

Say this… God supplies all my needs according to his riches and glory by Christ Jesus. God is the source of my supply and I have more than enough to pay my bills on time. Bills, be paid in full in Jesus name.

*Speak to property you are selling*

Listen to me (property), I am talking to you in Jesus name. Jesus said you would obey me. Jesus said you will be a blessing to someone and I call you SOLD. In the name of Jesus.

If you are in the midst of buying property, then SAY THIS…

I call those things that be not as though they were. I now call the property that fits my needs and desires and will be a blessing to me. I call you to me now. I declare God’s highest and best is done in this matter and the angels are now working on my behalf.

Maybe you feel there are some hindrances in these areas. Let’s pray to remove ALL hindrances.

God, your word says that whatever I bind on earth is bound in heaven. Whatever I loose on earth is loosed in heaven. Therefore, on the authority of your word, I bind every force that has set itself against my financial prosperity. I hereby declare all curses against me are null, void and harmless. I am redeemed from the curse of poverty. I am free from oppression. I loose the abundance of God. All that rightfully belongs to me now comes to me under grace in a perfect way in Jesus name.

Call things that are not to increase your paycheck…

Heavenly Father, I call for a raise as I honor you with my increase. I give thanks for this job and I bless my employer. I now declare that this check is multiplied and increased. I am now richly rewarded for my work both creatively and financially in the name of Jesus.

To increase investments or bank accounts you have,

I call for abundance as I honor the Lord with my capital and sufficiency. My storage places, investments and bank accounts are filled with plenty. I am abundantly supplied with new wine.

Speak over employment…

I now dissolve and put aside all negative limiting beliefs about where I will work and what job is available to me. I open myself to all of God’s possibilities. I call for a perfect, satisfying, well-paid job to manifest in my life. I am always in the right place at the right time for the spirit of God orders my steps.

We are walking in the power of our high priest.

We are calling things that be not as though they were.

Death and life is in the power of the tongue.

We will not sit silent.

We will speak the word of God and release our faith in every area that concerns us.

In the name of Jesus, God is right now perfecting everything that concerns me. In Jesus name. Amen

All is well.

Continue to say these confessions. Watch God go to work on your behalf.

I am in it for the relationship with God, not just for what he can give me.

Be sure to testify and tell people all that God has done on your behalf so others can see God is real. We serve a mighty God is moving in the midst of a pandemic.

You Don’t Need a Title to Be a Leader

You Don’t Need a Title to Be a Leader | The Essence of Leadership

I feel like I should repeat the title one more time, but I won’t. It surprises me every time I discover someone who will not exercise leadership or their voice because they don’t have a particular title. Ok, so when I started writing this post, I was only talking about the titles and leadership ability, but as I started going on, I began meshing into the essence of leadership and decided to keep the topics combined. That’s the nice thing about having my own blog and my own rules. ha ha ha

If you don’t know me personally or follow my blogs and social media pages, you may be wondering what inspired me to write on this topic. I don’t recall exactly when I became so intrigued in the topic of leadership, but it has been at least a decade since I started researching and leisurely reading more ion the topic. Actually, I have had an interest in the topic for 10 or more years, but I think the more I interacted with horrible leaders, the more I began to advocate against bad leadership. In the near future, I will once again pursue a doctorate level degree in education with an emphasis in organizational leadership. You probably didn’t want to know that, but oh wella.

Let me switch gears to say, it pays to have an older sister who is a “professional” thrifter. My sister, Shell, has an eye for quality discounted items at the thrift store. I enjoy the deep discounts at thrift stores, but I don’t have the patience to quickly spot the best bargain. Two years ago, Shell found a 99 cent book that ended up being a fantastic addition to my professional development/leadership book collection. OOPSIE, I should probably mention that the book was intended for my mom; however, I’ve been “borrowing” it for the entire two years. Ultimately, I decided I would have better use for the book. The book, entitled, “You Don’t Need a Title to Be a Leader” by Mark Sanborn, enhanced my knowledge base on the subject of leadership development. Without sharing too many details, this written resource has become one of my favorites.

Mark Sanborn is a “powerful storyteller” who articulates key leadership principles of “titled and untitled leaders.” Effective leaders can shape lives and careers.

What Leadership is or is not

business women meeting in conference room

Leadership is empathy.

Leadership is a behavior, not a position.

Leadership is influence, not authority.

Leadership is inspiring others to become better.

Leadership is about producing more leaders.

Leadership is NOT micromanaging.

Leadership is NOT about agreeing in private, but silent in public.

Leadership is advocating for what’s right in spite of opposition.

Leadership AIN’T for everybody.

Leadership is about taking responsibility, not making excuses.

“Leadership is NOT about being in charge. Leadership is about taking care of those in your charge.” Simon Sinek

15 Leadership Qualities That Make Good Leaders

(Source: TaskQue)

Want to become a GREAT leader? Here are fifteen leadership qualities that can make you a good leader.

  • Honesty and integrity
  • Confidence
  • Inspire Others
  • Commitment and Passion
  • Good Communicator
  • Decision-making Capabilities
  • Accountability
  • Delegation and Empowerment
  • Creativity and Innovation
  • Empathy
  • Resilience
  • Emotional Intelligence
  • Humility
  • Transparency
  • Vision and Purpose

What Role Does Leadership Play During Crisis?

Globally, we find ourselves experiencing considerable uncertainty due to the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic;  is like a bad dream that went from bad to worse in 1.3 seconds. This infectious virus has caused widespread impact on our personal and professional lives. Schools, churches, grocery shopping, large gatherings, and the workplace is not what we used to know two months ago. It’s crazy how one minute my sisters and I were finalizing plans and invites for our mom’s 70th birthday party and then the Center for Disease Control issued guidelines stating we could not gather with any more than 10 people so those plans eventually cancel.

Our school district (Elk Grove School District) led the efforts on school shutdowns. Initially, some community members thought our district overreacted, but soon other districts followed suit. So, Elk Grove district was a leader in protecting the children in our community. As a result, I have a preschooler and high school sophomore who are not in school for the remainder of the school year. Correction, as of yesterday, my sophomore has started distance learning through her school and my preschooler is now receiving weekly curriculum to help keep them academically on task. How does this relate to leadership? Thanks for asking. Without going too far off the topic, it is critical to shed light on the importance of leadership during the time of crisis. Effective leadership is necessary from our Federal and local government, school superintendent, in the workplace and through our community leaders. Actually, quality leadership is necessary within the home with parents but that is a different topic for another day.

Essence of Leadership

I absolutely love an old 2006 video clip of General Colin Powell responding to a question about leadership. He says, “it [leadership] comes down to creating trust. General Powell mentioned how leaders should have “a clear mission statement, offer selfless service, prepare their “followers” and provide resources for those they placed in positions. If you have LESS THAN THREE MINUTES, then check out what General Powell says for yourself. Click HERE to see the brief video

Honestly, I could chat about leadership and related topics for a long time. I have deep admiration and appreciation for quality leaders. On the flip side,  I am DEEPLY annoyed when I see those in leadership who do not have a single key characteristic as a leader should. When I see leaders who lack empathy, have limited communication with those who they “lead” and do not have an advocating bone in their body, it annoys me. It really bothers me when I see amazing, wise and thoughtful change agents who smother their voice or their skill-set because they don’t possess certain credentials or a “leadership title.” No way.

Is that you? Are you one of the individuals who has so much to offer, yet you won’t let your voice be heard because you aren’t in an executive leadership position? If the person I described is you, PLEASE don’t wait for someone to LEAD you to SPEAK UP for yourself. Someone is waiting on you to step into your purpose. Leadership is not only in skill-set workplace or within an organization. You can lead your community, be a leader for your church, or exercise healthy selfless leadership within your family or home. It’s not always comfortable to USE YOUR VOICE and ADVOCATE for yourself, but the time is now.

One last thing. Earlier today, I shared Governor Gavin Newsom’s daily COVID-19 briefing with a note that said, ” I AM SO PROUD TO BE A CALIFORNIA GIRL WHO IS REPRESENTED BY THE AMAZING LEADERSHIP OF GOVERNOR GAVIN NEWSOM!!!! (yes I used all those caps) Thank you, Governor Newsom, for focusing on health, safety, and [the] well-being of 40 million Californians. Thank you for creating an AMAZING bipartisan advisory panel to effectively and strategically address the ‘COVID-19″ induced recession.’ Thank you to our OUTSTANDING Governor for his empathy, emotional intelligence, sound guidance and moral obligation to lead our state. Governor Newsom is a change agent. California is BLESSED to have you. PERIODT (not a typo). Thank you for moving beyond politics. Thank you for your LEADERSHIP.”

It is just nice to know California has a leader who genuinely cares about the people he serves and is doing so much to address the needs of we the people. I couldn’t write an entire thing about leadership and leave Governor Newsom’s leadership out. While I’m at it, I also think Governor Andrew Cuomo of New York is a wonderful leader and will not rest until there is a solution to the devastation that is a result of the coronavirus. I don’t have to be from New York to be grateful for Governor Cuomo’s leadership.

Whether you are a leader with a title or a leader without a title, please let your voice be heard. Maybe you are a union leader, a church leader, a community advocate or a student without a title who is passionate about positive change. Please LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD!

Need a Maya Angelou Quote as a Pick-Me-Up?

Why not add Maya Angelou Quotes as a quick pick-me-up? Are you, too, feeling a bit overwhelmed or creatively stifled by the 24/7 discussions regarding this coronavirus outbreak (COVID-19)? Well, you’re NOT ALONE. Of course, I’m interested in the latest developments, data, press conferences, state and federal guidelines, etc. I’m simply feeling information overload. Gee whizz!

I had to stop myself from reading tons of articles and watching every press conference about this virus. It was time to fill my cup with something to ignite my creative fire.

Maya Angelou Quote

Keep It Fresh

As a blogger who LOVES to write content, lately I’ve struggled with WHAT TO POST. Prior to all this outbreak stuff, I had pre-scheduled (automated) blogs and social media posts with interesting and funny write ups but now I decided to delay the postings. Why? My reason for delaying the posts are to be sure I’m being sensitive to those directly impacted by the outbreak in any way.

Inspirational Topics

When I have writer’s block or need added substance for a writing project, I go to YouTube or Google to search topics like inspirational leadership, journaling, self-care, mindset habits or similar keywords. Several videos gave me a little inspiration, but something I saw reminded me of a Maya Angelou quote that has consistently encouraged me over the years. The thought of this ONE particular quote is the leading inspiration behind THIS post. It was difficult to post a few Maya quotes. She left us with so much of her profound wisdom. So, I just wanted to share a few of my favorites to help fulfill your inspirational needs.

Maya Angelou’s Inspirational Quotes

“You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.”

“Nothing will work unless you do.’

“Try to be a rainbow in someone’s cloud.”

“I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget HOW you made them feel.”

“If you don’t like something, change it. If you can’t change it, change your attitude.”

“I’m a woman phenomenally. Phenomenal woman, that’s me.”

“There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.”

“I’ve learned that whenever I decide something with an open heart, I usually make the right decision.”

“Never make someone a priority when all you are to them is an option.”

“Success is liking yourself, liking what you do, and liking how you do it.”

We all need to be mindful of what is going on in our world to stay informed and healthy. In the midst of challenging times, let’s inspire one another to keep a positive mindset. Hopefully, these Maya Angelou quotes added a rainbow to your cloud. Do you have a favorite Maya Angelou quote?
